MICAH LUSSIER: WHO IS SHE?
One of the competitors on the well-liked Netflix reality series Love Is Blind is Micah Lussier. The show follows singles as they search for their soulmates without ever meeting in person before getting engaged. Micah, an aged 27 advertising manager from Seattle, had been assigned with Paul Peden, a 29-year-old software engineer from San Francisco. Both of them elected to be married after only a few weeks of becoming familiar with the other because they clicked in the pods.
But Micah’s trip to the altar wasn’t without difficulties. Friends and family criticised her, questioning Paul’s motives and suitability for her. She also had to confront her personal anxieties and uncertainties, particularly in relation to her mother’s condition.
WHAT ILLNESS DOES MICAH’S MOM HAVE?
Patrisha Lussier, Micah’s mother, is the owner and director of Kindergarten Readiness Preschool Education in Shoreline, Washington. She fought cancer for a number of years before winning the battle. Micah said on Instagram that her mother had chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatment after receiving a stage 4 ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2015. Although the disease was deemed to have eradicated in 2017, it reappeared in 2018. In 2019, she underwent more surgery and chemotherapy, and was once more deemed cancer-free.
Patrisha’s health is still precarious, though. Based only on her appearance and behaviour on the broadcast, some Reddit users surmised that she might have had a stroke or had a head trauma2. But neither Micah nor her family have affirmed this. It’s evident that Patrisha has endured a great deal and exhibited remarkable fortitude and resiliency.
MICAH’S Mother: WHAT Affect DID SHE Has ON HER DAUGHTER?
Micah has always had an intimate relationship with her mother and regards her to be her closest confidant and example. She attributes her mother’s teachings of independence, kindness, and compassion in her. She also holds her mother in high regard for being a successful businesswoman and loving mother.
Micah disclosed that her desire to see her mother happy and proud was one of the reasons she joined Love Is Blind. She claimed to have prayed constantly for her mother to live to see her marry and have kids3. The weather in Arizona, where Paul is from, is better for her mother’s health, she added, so she decided to move there.
Micah’s mother approved of her daughter’s choice to go on the show and discover love. She gave her daughter a heartfelt hug after being ecstatic to see her in a wedding gown3. She also welcomed Paul warmly when she first met him5. She informed him that Micah was happy with him and that she liked him.
MICAH AND PAUL ARE GOING TO MARRY?
On August 25, 2023, Love Is Blind season four will conclude on Netflix. Fans can’t wait to watch if Micah and Paul will walk away from one another or say “I do” at the altar. The two have shown a great bond and commitment to one another despite facing numerous obstacles and uncertainties along the way.
